How to center flash player?

I'd like to see the flash player or a projector file to be
centered on my monitor. Using Flash 8 Actionscript 2.
I've read countless forums and tried several examples
to no avail. Almost every example is for web browsers
and 3rd party software. Can this be done with Action
Script alone?
Any help is appreciated.

I have limited knowledge of AS and could not figure out how to make my presentation autoplay & loop.
This was the perfect solution so THANK YOU!
I might suggest this addition - if the presentation also offers users the ability to navigate through buttons/links on the screens, add this code to each button/link onRelease

Don't scale the movieclip itself; use setMask to create a mask mc on
the mc and scale that. Here's s some code (freely adapted from adobe's
help examples) to create a draggable mask you can resize in the
